On the electronegativities of the group IV elements

摘要: Abstract Reported values for the electronegativities of Group IV elements are critically reviewed and it is concluded that Si, Ge, Sn Pb essentially constant or decrease slightly. It further in contrast to a previous suggestion, electronegativity differences have no effect upon chemistry these elements, cannot be correlated with either nuclear quadrupole coupling tetrahalides chemical shift alkyl derivatives.
