摘要: The wide-spread presence of home gardens, in developing nations is a strong foundation for food security, both terms quantity and quality. Indigenous wild plants are rich source health-giving micronutrients, which missing from highly refined fast/convenience foods the growing reliance on has caused an ever-increasing occurrence dietary-related diseases.  A simple solution to resolving micronutrient malnutrition transplanting neglected underutilized plant species (NUS) into gardens. These can also be sold local markets providing additional family income. Agricultural extension personnel play influential role promoting process by presenting workshops women farmers makers.
