摘要: Abstract The effect of the crack length/specimen width ratio (a/W) on initiation values opening displacement (COD) and J- integral were investigated. A series tests was performed a high-strength high-toughness alloy steel where a/W varied from about 0.1 to 0.5, keeping W constant. Two clip gauges used. P-V P-Δ plots simultaneously obtained same specimen. COD both PV plots. calculated according “single-point method.” results indicate that J i δ shallow cracks are significantly higher than those deep cracks. is insensitive when ⩾ 0.2 becomes dependent as ⩽ 0.15 .
