摘要: Objectives To characterize the current state of Canadian emergency medicine (EM) resident research and develop recommendations to promote excellence in this area. Methods We performed a systematic review MEDLINE, Embase, ERIC using search terms relevant EM research. conducted an online survey residency program directors from Royal College Physicians Surgeons Canada (RCPSC) Family (CFPC). An expert panel reviewed these data, presented at Association Emergency 2014 Academic Symposium, refined them based on feedback received. Results Of 654 potentially citations, 35 articles were included. These categorized into four themes: 1) expectations requirements, 2) training assessment, 3) infrastructure support, 4) dissemination. received 31 responses all RCPSC-EM CFPC-EM programs. The majority programs reported requiring scholarly project; however, we found wide-ranging for type how results disseminated, as well degree completion expected.
