摘要: Congenital and idiopathic scoliosis represent disabling conditions of the spine. While congenital (CS) is caused by morphogenic abnormalities in vertebral development, cause(s) for (are) likely to be varied, representing alterations skeletal growth, neuromuscular imbalances, disturbances involving communication between brain spine, others. Both are characterized phenotypic genetic heterogeneities, which contribute difficulties understanding their basis that investigators face. Despite differences these two there observational experimental evidence supporting common mechanisms. This paper focuses on clinical features both CS IS highlights environmental factors occurrence. It anticipated emerging technologies improvements stratification will facilitate improved enable targeted prevention treatment strategies.
