摘要: In this paper a review concerning the main ideas, seminal papers and more recent advances in mathematica modelling of wide class lubrication problems is presented. After introducing ideas about different topics related to (thin film approximation, cavitation, rough surfaces ,elastohydrodynamc models, etc) their mathematical translations, authors mainly focus on state art (recent open problems) passing limit from general Stokes equations asymptotic Reynolds-like models. Finally, some comments inverse optimization formulations are also included. Key words: tribology, lubrication, equation, Reynolds cavitation ,free boundaries, homogenization, elastohydrodynamics, non Newtonian fluids, problems, numerical methods.
