摘要: Apopulation of the lacertid lizard Podarcis hispanica was studied in Sistema Central Mountains Salamanca Province, Spain. Lizards confined their activities to stable home ranges, but size range varied enormously between individuals. Home ranges generally contained 1) a high proportion rocks > 100 cm height and 2) significantly higher abundance crevices than expected. The overall lizards increased with decreasing amounts shrubs herbaceous plants cover densities were highest bare rocky areas. Adult females selected particular habitat types according season, whereas selection males juveniles did not differ spring summer. Non-resident adult occupied habitats marginal quality relation crevice abundance.
