摘要: The biosynthesis of steroid hormones is a fascinating process in which the neutral lipid cholesterol, normal constituent bilayers transformed via series hydroxylation, oxidation and reduction steps into vast array biologically active compounds: mineralocorticoids, glucocorticoids sex hormones. majority these transformations occur adrenal, testis ovary although other tissues, such as liver, kidney, placenta, brain skin are also quite active.
