摘要: A new model of the last deglaciation event Late Quaternary ice age is here described and denoted as ICE-6G_C (VM5a). It differs from previously published models in this sequence that it has been explicitly refined by applying all available Global Positioning System (GPS) measurements vertical motion crust may be brought to bear constrain thickness local cover well timing its removal. Additional space geodetic constraints have also applied specify reference frame within which GPS data are described. The focus paper upon three main regions Last Glacial Maximum cover, namely, North America, Northwestern Europe/Eurasia, Antarctica, although Greenland British Isles will included, if peripherally, discussion. In each major regions, predictions time rate change gravitational field compared being measured Gravity Recovery Climate Experiment satellites an independent means verifying improvement achieved constraints. Several aspects global characteristics discussed, including nature relative sea level history at far-field locations, particular Caribbean island Barbados, especially high-quality records postglacial but were not employed development model. Although (VM5a) a significant insofar most recently observations concerned, comparison with such histories enables us identify series additional improvements should follow further stage iteration.
