摘要: Stress corrosion cracking tests were conducted using Bayer solutions of different chemistry at temperatures for extraction alumina from bauxite ores. The validity the commonly used caustic susceptibility (CS) diagram steels exposed to plain was assessed by testing notched and precracked specimens. This study presents first results toward development a model actual solutions, improved applicability traditional diagram. For mechanistic understanding cracking, also carried out under imposed electrochemical conditions.
