Research trends and perspectives of male infertility: a bibliometric analysis of 20 years of scientific literature

摘要: Summary To carry out an in-depth analysis of the scientific research on male infertility, we performed first bibliometric focusing studies involving infertility worldwide during period 1995–2014. Analysis 6357 articles in field showed a significant increasing trend number publications over Obstetrics and Gynecology was important subject category Multidisciplinary Sciences newest interest. Authors were mainly from Europe USA, with researchers Cleveland Clinic producing most articles, those Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center University Utah having highest-quality articles. The USA contributed independent international collaborative Munster productive institutions. Giessen had collaboration publications. Harvard collaborators. common interests pathogenesis therapy, new hypogonadism, obesity, cryopreservation. In conclusion, rapid development observed. Overall, multidisciplinary science has become more popular. its institutions play dominant role, followed by European countries. Thanks to focus worldwide, insight into fertility been gained literature past 20 years.
