摘要: Abstract Two solar stills (single basin and double decker) were fabricated tested. Both have the same area. The inner dimensions of each was 90×50 cm (effective area 0.45 m 2 ). For double-decker still, upper glass cover first tilted at 12° with respect to horizontal, while for single 36° horizontal. Several copper-constantan thermocouples installed in both measure temperatures cover, chamber, water ambient-air. hourly amount extracted distilled water, various insolation monitored a 5-month period (February→June). types measurements performed; one still-sides insulated other without. monthly average total daily-distilled production highest June because during this month is higher than that any testing period. double-basin sides insulated, 1760 ml/day (3.91 l/m /day), and, not case, daily 1410 (3.13 /day). single-basin 1280 (2.84 /day) case still 1105 ml (2.455 insulated. In February, March, April May, productions 1045, 1340, 1420 1630 843, 936, 1045 1180 respectively. 720, 765, 890 1010 sides, respectively, 655, 745, 810 945 Adding 2.5 styrobore insulation material stills’ causes noticeable increase its rate production. around 40% still.
