摘要: In geodesign practice, there is often little regard for the history and heritage of places subject to design planning. This an unnecessary costly omission. The regions landscapes provides a long-term perspective that informs us important long-standing processes, whereas practices inform about central social values be considered when geodesigning. Incorporating these lead more thoughtful suited designs interventions. Their general omission from practice not due theoretical constraints—the models in Steinitz’s framework indeed lend themselves incorporating historical perspectives. main problem appears designers planners’ unfamiliarity with concepts their preference insights based on quantitative analysis. chapter introduces landscape explains how may fruitfully incorporated theory help Spatial Data Infrastructure, using Dutch river delta as exemplary case.
