摘要: A new species of Raspailia (Raspaxilla) frondosa sp. nov. is described from the deep seamounts Norfolk and New Caledonia Ridges. The morphology resembles that a frond or fern, its unique highly compressed axial skeleton interlaced spongin fibres without spicules in combination with radial extra perpendicular palisade spicules, differentiate it all other subgenus. This compared morphologically to 18 valid (Raspaxilla).
