摘要: Abstract Two major challenges for sustainability of the textile industry are water consumption and hazardous industrial effluents. A solvent dyeing technology polyethylene terephthalate fabrics was developed to facilitate reduction chemical eliminate use water. Liquid paraffin selected as optimum medium from a collection 110 organic solvents using combination Hansen solubility parameters environmental, health, safety profiles. The method in present work offers three advantages over traditional aqueous dyeing: high quality dyed goods without auxiliaries, efficient surface oligomers additional cleaning easy reuse spent dye liquors. As result, negative environmental impacts can be minimized compared conventional process. Substantial savings chemicals (115 kg per metric ton polyester) (70 m 3 achieved. result 7-cycle sequence demonstrates excellent color consistency fabrics. By implementing principle reducing waste, reusing, recycling resources, process this study effectively reduces eliminates Compared with method, is promising alternative protection scarce freshwater resource industry.
