摘要: The importance of freight systems to the economy, environment, and modern life necessitates study research in this field. This paper presents a framework gain insight into behavioural underpinnings that affect decision making sector. objective is investigate interaction key actors inland import/export container market Brisbane. addresses several decisions made distribution system including optimising shipment size, using distribution/consolidation centre, mode/vehicle route choices. In framework, supply chain modelled an agent-based approach, which are captured integrated, disaggregate, distributed system. agents include shippers, agents, rail carriers, road customers. proposed incorporates five major chain. first model, shippers customers negotiate on size frequency shipments based minimizing total logistics cost. second shippers’ bundling captured, light carriers’ prices services as well storage costs if not sent immediately. third shipper’s choice use or consolidation centre can be modelled, bundling, handling costs, economies may realised from for given commodities within time slots. interacts with fourth capturing competition between carriers transport mode. Finally, then face routes commercial vehicles meet these slots (“time-windows”) each commodity.
