Simplified chromatographic separation of immunoglobulin M from G and its application to toxoplasma indirect immunofluorescence.

摘要: The indirect immunofluorescent (IIF) antibody technique for the detection of Toxoplasma gondii immunoglobulin M (IgM) often gives false negative results, probably due to competition between IgG and IgM. We therefore adapted a gel filtration procedure separation IgM routine diagnostic test capable handling at least 10 sera per day requiring only 50 microliters serum. results from 108 having positive complement fixation titers showed that 17 were when whole serum was tested by IIF compared with 55 fraction used. Sera antideoxyribonucleic acid do not give after fractionation, removal eliminates rheumatoid factor. A prospective study may persist up 9 months.
