摘要: Although not predicted by simple theory, prominent tangential horizontal motion is observed in almost all cases from both chemical and nuclear explosions. A series of experiments designed to clarify the factors that are significant producing this was carried out. The seismograms, recorded at small distances, clearly indicate asymmetrical pattern radiation SH source region, as contrasted with symmetrical for radial vertical motion. This most useful indicator nature generating mechanism. combined effect charge size depth determine which two wave forms will appear. form Love waves, but much more pronounced shallow shots produce cratering, or least surface cracking, than completely contained shots. An examination theoretical patterns indicates crack formation may contribute significantly generation (auth)
