摘要: Laboratory studies with live and frozen Maladera matrida female male beetles showed that males were attracted to chemical substances emanating from the females at dusk. Beetles exhibited sexual activity (including mating) dusk towards but not males. Frozen had been extracted methanol together either hexane or dichloromethane a mixture of all three solvents did elicit activity. Activity was fully restored when concentrate extract applied previously females. Males also responded vigorous which applied. Deterrent chemicals appear be absent body. exposed during morning displayed weak activity, indicating lack active semiochemicals. Differences between extracts found respect more than 20 compounds, some present in much higher concentrations morning, while others detected extract. The component(s) short-range sex pheromone M. is (are) presumably among these compounds.
