摘要: THE origin of fine carbonate muds in deep parts the Black Sea has been explained various ways, but details how was formed are poorly understood. We have studied samples containing from cores obtained during cruise Atlantis II (Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute) to April and May 1969. Examination light-coloured bands darker by scanning electron micrographs light microscopy shows that Holocene coccoliths overwhelmingly dominant constituents bands, whereas Cretaceous Eocene important components matrix.
