摘要: Abstract Earthworms, termites and ants influence soil physical, chemical biological properties. Earthworms are most active in humid subhumid tropics, more semi-arid arid regions. Soil fauna rates of turnover, mineralization humification organic matter, texture consistency, total macroporosity, infiltration rate soil-water retention characteristics. Biologically, worked often has matter plant-available nutrients water reserves than adjacent soil. Population, species diversity activity influenced by agricultural practices. The practices that adversely affect faunal population include mechanized land clearing, plowing, monoculture indiscriminate use agrochemicals. Soil- crop-management techniques favor enhance the mulch farming, no-tillage, cover crops, agroforestry other ecologically compatible farming systems. degradation tropics is related to drastic reductions fauna.
