摘要: A total of 231 thermotolerant coliforms was isolated from rural drinking water four states India. Of these, 220 isolates were resistant to ampicillin, chloramphemicol, streptomycin and tetracycline. Multiple (MAR), double single antibiotic resistances observed in 31.4, 48.6 13.7% the isolates, respectively. Out 177 antibiotic-resistant examined for transmissibility, only 15.3% able transfer their Escherichia coli K-12 recipient. The transferred by 32.5% MAR, 21.9% 7.6% isolates. Ampicillin resistance transferable 14.69% strains while rest antibiotics less than 4% strains. MAR E. Klebsiella sp. showed highest levels R-plasmid transfer.
