摘要: For nutrient management in a cropping system, one needs to know the residual effect of organics on succeeding crops. The work was carried out for better understanding impact different organic manures popcorn-potato system which is common many regions India. To assess recommended N rates applied as inorganic fertilizers (IF), farmyard manure (FYM), leaf compost (LC) and vermicompost (VC) soil health productivity field experiments were conducted two consecutive years. Application IF significantly improved crop growth yield popcorn but had detrimental health. Whole (120 kg N ha−1) through FYM boosted leading 48.3% 15.6% higher over control application, respectively. equivalent 120 kg N ha−1also fertility terms available N, P K, carbon (SOC) stocks system. Further, application manures, particularly (equivalent 120 kg N ha−1) increased SOC initial values by 23.8% 35.8% during 2008–09 2009–10, A multiple correlation analysis (RSY.NPKSOC = 0.87; p < 0.001) showed that forms K influenced yield. Regression clearly indicated positively correlated with nutrients. also microbial populations (bacteria, fungi actinomycetes), biomass (SMCB), dehydrogenase activity bulk density (BD). latter not observed when applied. rate 120 kg N ha−1 60 kg N ha−1 potato resulted maximum profitability highest gross net returns cost:benefit ratio. beneficial applying due improvement addition easy supply other plant
