摘要: The woody vegetation of the Kruger National Park varies greatly in species composition, biomass and cover at regional scales. This study focuses on (tree shrub) as a defining characteristic savannas. We combine field measurements, optical radar remote sensing to map across whole medium resolution (90 m). also explore relationships between mapped cover, climate, soil, topography, fire herbivory. spatial temporal variability is significant for managers support priorities relating maintenance structural biotic heterogeneity. derive product that quantifies heterogeneity within 1km cells.
