摘要: A process for making a cyclic compounds such as acetal or ketones by feeding aldehyde ketone and polyhydroxyl to reaction vessel at molar ratio of least 3:1, reacting these in the presence homogeneous acid catalyst generate liquid phase mixture containing without separating water from it is being formed mixture, withdrawing product stream, stream distillation column separate unreacted compounds, optionally recycling back and/or vessel. The produces high yields. also suitable make ketals compounds.
