摘要: After several years of service, concrete pavement slabs tend to settle due weak subgrade or erosion the soil. Different treatment techniques have been used rectify problem. In recent years, high-density polyurethane (HDP) foams were introduced on pavements after their success in leveling settled sidewalks and building bases/foundations. Compared other traditional jacking/stabilization material, HDP are cost-effective, installation requires shorter lane closure times protects from subsurface water infiltration by filling voids. In 2015 2016, Tennessee DOT applied material sections Interstate I-24 I-75 Chattanooga, lift level slabs. Longitudinal profiles data collected using a standard high-speed inertial profiler before application assess performance treated over time. These evaluated profile viewing analyzing (ProVAL) software compute international roughness index (IRI) transverse joint faulting. Results show that did neither improve nor retrogress condition but maintained it its state material. This study recommends an in-depth ground investigation be carried out injection establishment standardized protocol for selecting suitable foam injection, contractors use sophisticated equipment, instead adjacent slab as reference, avoid accumulation errors correction.
