摘要: We evaluated the estrogenic and androgenic activity of butylated hydroxyanisole (BHA) using immature rat uterotrophic assay Hershberger assay. To investigate (anti-) estrogenicity, BHA alone or with 17β-estradiol was administered to 20-days-old female rats for three consecutive days. Absolute relative uterine weights were significantly decreased by (50, 100, 250, 500 mg/kg) 17β-estradiol-stimulated vagina also (500 mg/kg), while epithelial cell height not affected. In assay, testosterone propionate (TP) daily 51-days-old castrated male 10 caused no significant effect on androgen-dependent accessory sex organ weights; seminal vesicle/coagulative glands, glans penis, Cowper's gland, ventral prostate gland levator ani plus bulbocarvernosus muscle. Although, weight increased co-treatment 250 mg/kg TP 0.4 compared that alone, absolute other organs formalin-fixed showed changes. Our studies suggest have anti-estrogenic decrease in but negligible rats.
