摘要: Chikungunya virus (CHIKV) is an alphavirus transmitted in urban epidemic cycle by the mosquitoes Aedes aegypti and Ae. albopictus. CHIKV outbreaks are characterized rapid spread infection rates as high 75%; 72%–93% of infected persons become symptomatic. The disease manifests acute fever potentially debilitating polyarthralgia. In a variable proportion cases, polyarthritis fatigue can persist for 2 years or longer (1). During outbreaks, large percentage symptomatic infections places considerable strain on resources local health care providers hospitals. Fortunately, death from chikungunya rare.
