Thermal and Compositional Analysis of Orange Essential Oil Obtained from Citrus Industry Waste

摘要: During the production of orange juice, more specifically after commercial extraction fruit other waste materials are generated, consisting peel, pieces membranes, pulp bagasse, juice vesicles and seeds. In this way, final destination can become a problem when not managed correctly. Therefore, there several possibilities for using these solid residues, as they present substances great interest. perspective, work evaluates recovery essential oil from citrus industry hydrodistillation. The obtained was characterized by acidic index, FTIR, GC / MS, TGA DSC. results exhibited that isolated hydrodistillation has similarity with cold-pressed oil. chemical constitution almost same analyzed. However, thermal behaviour presents few differences in stability vaporization temperature between analysed oils. produces an alternative to obtain product quality, high yields added value be used cosmetic pharmaceutical industries.
