摘要: Abstract Measurements of differential cross sections for (p, 2p) reaction at an incident proton energy 385 MeV are interpreted in terms a distorted momentum distribution the struck original target nucleus. The nuclei studied were 40 Ca, 45 Sc, 59 Co, 58 Ni, 120 Sn, 208 Pb and 209 Bi. In all but heaviest nuclei, varies with binding such way as to invite simple shell-model interpretation. This interpretation indicates that Is protons does not increase mass number after it has reached value near 55 MeV.
