A Two-level distributed architecture for the support of content adaptation and delivery services

摘要: The growing demand for Web and multimedia content accessed through heterogeneous devices requires the providers to tailor resources device capabilities on-the-fly. Providing services adaptation delivery opens two novel challenges present future provider architectures: are computationally expensive; global storage requirements increase because multiple versions of same resource may be generated different client devices. We propose a two-level distributed architecture support efficient services. nodes organized in levels: thin edge on first level act as simple request gateways towards second level; fat interior clusters perform all other tasks, such adaptation, caching fetching. Several experimental results show that Two-level achieves better performance scalability than existing flat or no cooperative architectures.
