摘要: The bio-diversity (vegetation and fauna) of peatlands, like all wetland ecosystems, is very fragile as it requires specific wet conditions. Over the past 20 years, increasing efforts have been made to restore degraded wetlands, re-create new wetlands where they were lost, sustainably manage for multiple benefits. However, actions preserve require an in-depth knowledge water cycle in system. We used chemical multi-isotopic approaches, combined with hydrological tools (measuring potentiometric levels spring discharge), tracing dissolved-element fluxes Narces de la Sauvetat peatland (Central France) better understanding budget components involved this ecosystem. This multi-pronged approach clearly demonstrated its effectiveness improving our functioning two main results are that: (1) volume flowing out through Fouragettes stream often negligible; (2) At least three strong groundwater distinct isotopic signatures supply peatland. will help decision makers maintain balance peatland, which essential preservation
