Prevalence of trait anxiety in a sample of depressed inpatients and its influence on response to antidepressants

摘要: Depression and anxiety frequently occur together or in extension of each other. According to a previous study depressed inpatients, high trait level correlated with positive response the diazepam test (DT) low negative test. The aim this is investigate whether reaction DT related fluvoxamine imipramine. was performed 130 patients diagnosed depressive disorder. Following DT, were randomly assigned double-blind treatment either imipramine fluvoxamine. Doses both antidepressants adjusted attain predefined blood levels, outcome evaluated 4 weeks after attaining these levels. Twenty-two had whereas 108 response. Although anxiety, no differences symptomatology antidepressant found between DT.
