摘要: Publisher Summary The in vitro differentiation of ES cells, which closely recapitulates embryonic cell processes, has been used as a model system to analyze differentiation. This is an alternative way investigate the consequences loss function mutations after gene targeting if knock-out mice cannot be generated. Because their broad capacity cells are also discussed experimental approach generate for transplantation. A common method differentiate cultivation aggregates, so-called “embryoid bodies (EBs).” efficiency cell-derived chondrocyte found influenced by several parameters, such batch fetal calf serum or size EBs. For reproducible pattern chondrogenic and osteogenic it important prerequisite EBs same size. achieved via hanging drop-cultivation. chapter describes some basic techniques cultivation, methods characterization specific types isolation chondrocytes from Furthermore, briefly summarizes approaches enhance efficiency.
