摘要: In order to improve the self-starting capacity of straight-bladed vertical axis wind turbine (SB-VAWT), a prototype with collective pitch control (CPC) was developed. The angle each blade adjusted by mechanism, consisting four driving wheels attached blades and one servo motor, motion half rotor. Numerical simulations SB-VAWT flat profile were carried out investigate feasibility effectiveness CPC method, results show peak power coefficient four-bladed is more than 16% maximum ranges from 0.5 0.7 for different rotor configuration number. Performance tests implemented, indicate that it effective utilizing mechanism; meanwhile two-bladed little larger under condition same solidity.
