摘要: The excitatory amino acids (EAA) glutamate (Glu) and aspartate (Asp) are now recognized as key participants in a variety of physiologic pathologic processes. On the one hand, these agents likely to function neurotransmitters at majority fast synapses vertebrate central nervous system (CNS), playing roles normal synaptic transmission (Collingridge Lester, 1989; Mayer Westbrook, 1987a) several forms plasticity (Kuba Kumamoto, 1990). Yet exposure neurons clearly has toxic consequences, prompting hypotheses regarding involvement EAA human neuro-degenerative syndromes (Olney, In this chapter we will review evidence linking specific neuropsychiatric syndromes.
