摘要: Recordings of esophageal manometry obtained from 18 healthy control subjects and 32 patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease both before after fundoplication were assessed. Preoperatively, the had a mean lower sphincter pressure at rest that was significantly (p less than 0.001) observed in group. The amplitude peristaltic contractions, elicited by wet swallows, varied along length esophagus. In disease, amplitudes recorded upper, middle, esophagus those subjects. No significant differences between (53%) without preoperative endoscopic evidence esophagitis. After antireflux surgery (modified Nissen fundoplication), contractions increased all levels not different values. This study describes motor abnormalities body associated disease. These may arise secondary to inasmuch as they disappear fundoplication.
