摘要: Described in 1910 from California, Colorado, New Mexico, Oregon, and Utah, Leptoglossus clypealis Heidemann was known as far east eastern Missouri by the early 1940s; it recorded only recently of Mississippi River (Illinois). Based mainly on images posted BugGuide, its North American range can be extended United States to Jersey, Virginia, Carolina; an Ontario record is first for Canada. Additional new state records localities previously states are presented. The eastward spread L. compared with that a congener, occidentalis Heidemann. As strong flier, might have undergone gradual spread, but extensive planting redcedar (Juniperus virginiana L.) shelterbelts Great Plains during 1930s triggered increases coreid's population densities, enhancing probability further spread. Long-distance dispersal aided winds transport via cargo motor vehicles also been involved recent expansion. Nymphs were observed five species coniferous genus Juniperus (54 sites), fruitbearing trees J. scopulorum Sarg. virginiana; adults collected two additional juniper at sites. coreid found eudicot, anacardiaceous shrub Rhus aromatica Aiton three
