摘要: Roundabout practice in the United States has evolved considerably over past fifteen years since first modern roundabout was built 1990. Professionals guiding early leaned heavily on experience gained other countries, principally Australia and Kingdom. In late 1990s, FHWA guided development of its document, Roundabouts: An Informational Guide. This document more than merely a synthesis existing international documents; it introduced new concepts began to define an American practice. Since publication, wide variety activities have influenced design States, including construction evaluation many roundabouts across active supplemental guidance materials by several increased awareness research accessibility pedestrians with vision disabilities, so on. paper presents author’s view current state where things may be heading coming years.
