摘要: Public transportation is a key enabler of mobility in today's urban environment. Transportation service operators are exploring various technologies order to be able provide passengers accurate real-time information plan their journeys. For them, the challenge often understanding where, when and how there demand. With rapid advancements mobile technology, crowd sourcing or participatory sensing can thought as medium by which collected, augmented used for better planning well mode deliver commuters. In this paper, we conduct an extensive review both literature applications using with focus on public domain. We identify certain common challenges across techniques proposed applied, categorize them discuss possible future research directions into these areas.
