Basic Concepts of Wind Energy Converters

摘要: There are many different ways in which devices to convert the kinetic energy contained an air stream into mechanical work can be realised and most bizarre concepts have been proposed [1]. Museums patent offices filled rafters with more or less promising inventions of this type. In cases, however, practical applicability these “wind power plants” falls far behind inventors’ expectations.
