摘要: In this thesis a socio-cultural perspective of medical science education is adopted to argue the position that undergraduate scientists must be enculturated into profession as knowledge workers and symbolic analysts who can interact with computers in complex analytical procedures, quality assurance management. The cue for taken from transformations taking place pathology industry due advances automation, robotics and informatics. rise Evidence-Based Laboratory Medicine (EBLM) also noted observation by higher researchers, systems are transforming such way disciplines no longer act isolation. They must now collaborate disparate fields transdisciplinary as EBLM, which new skills cultivated scientists. This aims describe theoretical basis work taking semiotic perspective. This because, semiotics, theory signs representations, applied structure scientific knowledge, logic practice rhetoric scientific communications. For purpose, framework first derived wide range theories existent literature. Then application this clinical chemistry context, logic, is demonstrated. achieved interpreting various data sources, example, course materials, laboratory spatial arrangements, instruments, printouts, students' practical reports, collected teaching laboratory situation. The results analysis indicate chemist working computerised environment performs work, term synonymous analysis. It shown entails systematic terms validation procedures laboratory, data, tests; classification selection instruments, their rule governed- use, troubleshooting errors; pragmatic decisions based on availability space, services budgets; discrimination among values test evaluations cost-effectiveness relevance of pathology services; recognition rhetorical strategies used communicate information graphs, charts, statistics. role context explained through its arrangements designs constrains work experience. contextual provides insights oppositional trend brought wide attention professional more skills are needed, but there fewer highly skilled positions available.
