摘要: Aside from a different emphasis on intervention, such as job training or housing for adults, many have characterized split between child and adult mental health services research (e.g., Mechanic, 1996). The research, theory, knowledge, legislation in children’s has lagged far behind that the field (Institute of Medicine, 1989). This chapter provides an overview key issues research. First, definition functions are discussed. Although is still developing, serves several functions, primarily to provide objective means informing public policy program decision making, ultimately contributing improvement clinical practice. A distinction then made efficacy treatment effectiveness which also can be called discussion focuses not only differences two, but suggests importance complementary use both approaches order increase our knowledge “what works” applied settings.
