摘要: Understanding the demographic and evolutionary processes within between populations is essential for developing effective management strategies. Thus, establishing good conservation policies both genetic phenotypic studies are crucial. We carried out an integrated analysis of characters critically endangered Balearic shearwater Puffinus mauretanicus (182 individuals) compared them with those 2 nearby colonies Yelkouan P. yelkouan (40 individuals), a species which hybridization has been hypothesized. The results microsatellite analyses were previous mitochondrial DNA analyses. Genetic variability was low in high levels inbreeding revealed at local scale. Most dispersal shearwaters to neighboring sites, even though population structure found. admixture much higher nuclear than level, but would seem indicate that lower level exists. Individual DNA, mtDNA, phenotype did not match individual showing migration alone cannot explain this phenomenon. suggest these young could have involved divergence admixing. However, due longer coalescence times markers, incomplete lineage sorting be ruled out.
