摘要: Large carnivores are some of the world’s most difficult species to conserve because their large spatial requirements, low population density, and high potential for conflict with humans. However, valuable ecological, cultural, ethical reasons. Carnivore management can take a wide variety forms, including translocation, sterilization, livestock compensation programs, regulated hunting, improved husbandry practices, zoning, among others. The objective this thesis was conduct comparative analysis examples zoning from around world examine whether it is an effective carnivore strategy. Analysis twelve case studies showed that systems vary widely based on characteristics target location-specific factors. four broad categories were identified: density driven, core area, game species, pest zoning. Furthermore, several factors stood out as important in success or failure systems: space availability, level humans, relative abundance public support system, economic political context location. It seems has be successful tool if these taken into account during planning process.
