Reported fire safety and first-aid amenities in Airbnb venues in 16 American cities

摘要: Airbnb helps hosts rent all or part of their home to guests as an alternative traditional hospitality settings. venues are not uniformly regulated across the USA. This study quantified reported prevalence fire safety and first-aid amenities in The sample includes 120 691 16 US cities. Proportions host-reported smoke carbon monoxide (CO) detectors, extinguishers kits were calculated. proportion that reportedly contained follows: detectors 80% (n=96 087), CO 57.5% (n=69 346), 42% (n=50 884) 36% (n=43 497). Among this venues, deficiencies noted. While most had alarms, approximately 1/2 alarms less than having a kits. Local state governments must implement regulations compliant with current National Fire Protection Association standards.
