摘要: Illinoia pepperi (MacGillivray) infests cultivated highbush blueberries, Vaccinium corymbosum L., in the Northeastern United States. Allopatric resistance to I. was examined darrowi Camp, which evolved absence of Southeastern U.S. V. cv. “Elliott”, used as a susceptible control. Between population variability assessed by measuring length prereproductive period, fecundity, and survivorship on 14 accessions representing 11 discrete wild populations. Length pepperi’s period were not significantly affected. However, differences detected fecundity intrinsic rate increase (rm). Within measured confining first instars 24 from single (NJ88-06). Significant mean total number aphids occurring after 20 d only between 2 accessions. A greater degree diversity exists populations compared within population. Constitutive leaf stem polyphenolics identified HPLC-MS quantified The varied concentrations five phenolic acids seven flavonol glycosides, but correlation found individual or phenolics aphid performance. Overall, screening promising sources resistance, acid glycoside profiles did predict levels. mechanism remains be identified.
