摘要: The uptake of two heavy metals (chromium and lead) in sediments experimental mesocosms under exposure to different metal concentrations was evaluated by monitoring their over time both seawater sediment. Two separate experiments laboratory-controlled conditions were carried out for the metals. Sediments collected from a protected natural area characterized low anthropic influence placed that housed aquaria each with at concentration. At pre-established intervals, sediment samples mesocosm chemical analyses. Quantification chromium lead concentration atomic absorption spectrometer graphite furnace. Low doses (<1 mg L-1) do not entail an waters. ≥1 mg L-1, evolution shows significant differences between these metals: (i) is twice faster than lead; (ii) accumulates considerable amount sediments. behaviour investigated could be ascribed interactions existing ions components
