摘要: Since the independence of Bangladesh in 1971, Motijheel Commercial Area has flourished as main Central Business District (CBD) Dhaka City attributable to its rapid pace commercial development. However, process development this area followed a spontaneous but unplanned manner. As consequence, CBD is continuously confronting two key urban problems: congestion and constriction- which are often considered factors that necessitate regeneration. This paper focuses on identifying scope regeneration Area. The study recognizes traffic problem with characteristics high volume-capacity ratio, illegal street parking, inefficient management public transport system absence pedestrian friendly facilities. issue constriction addressed lack opportunity for horizontal expansion due densely developed surrounding area. Similar issues were experienced previously by city centers like- Wokingham, Fort McMurray, Armagh, Liverpool etc tackled successfully applying various techniques strategies. Comparing those case studies present scenario Motijheel, also discusses some strategies revitalize will help make it functionally more efficient.
