摘要: The systematics of the genus Capra remain controversial in spite studies conducted using morphology, mtDNA, and allozymes. Here, we assess evolutionary history (i) phylogenetic analysis two nuclear genes located on Y-chromosome (ii) previously published new cytochrome b sequences. For phylogeny, sequenced segments from amelogenin (AMELY) zinc finger (ZFY) all eight wild taxa domestic goats (Capra hircus). Phylogenetic data revealed well-defined clades. goat (C. hircus), bezoar aegagrus), markhor falconeri) belong to one clade (ML bootstrap value [BP]: 98%), suggesting that originated or both these species. second BP: 92%) is comprised other Horn morphology generally concordant with phylogeny. mtDNA also However, species each are different those inferred data. To explain discordance between phylogenies, several hypotheses considered. We suggest a plausible scenario involves introgression ancestral before relatively recent colonization Western Europe, Caucasus Mountains, East Africa by populations.
